Well, hello there!

This page used to be written in the third person. You know, Sherri is a published writer (I use that phrase loosely)…inspirational speaker…blah, blah, blah. But, the truth is, it’s me writing all this stuff. I figure – why not just keep it real?

So, here’s the scoop for those who want to know a little more about me!

My big claim to fame is that I was published in a precious little devotional book for mom’s, It’s a Good Thing Children Are a Treasure… They’ve Broken All My Other Ones. (I’m not even sure it’s still in print.) I also do some speaking now and then, have written devotionals and newsletters for an international ministry, and have held roles as leader of women’s ministries, worship leader, and lay-counselor.

I have a highly creative side as well as an exceedingly over-analytical one; the two often butting heads in my brain. You can imagine how fun it is up there.

With these two completely opposite ways of processing life ever vying for my sanity and leading me on, my heart’s desire is to share my life with others who are also on a journey towards growth and freedom. Life is so much sweeter (and easier) in community.

I try to live authentically, laugh a lot (often at the expense of others – sorry), and try to make tough truths I’ve learned easy to swallow by sharing my own struggles with a lot of humor and total transparency. Well, almost total transparency. My husband gets a vote here.

Oh. And I have a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies that I got later on in life, if that really matters. Truth is, I just happen to love school, love learning, and love studying the Bible because it’s the most intriguing, challenging, life-giving collection of words on the planet. #hugefan

Besides all of that, I am madly in love with my husband, Norm, and our beautiful, ever-growing family. They are my best bragging rights, by far.

Peace and grace to you and yours!
Sherri

Didn’t know you were a student AND a budding author (in addition to all the other wonderful things). The depth of your beauty is stunning.
May God keep you on a straight path and may He be glorified by your accomplishments.
